Bayley is proud to be recognized as a 2025 Outstanding Service-Learning Community Partner by Mount St. Joseph University. This honor, presented by the University’s Career &Experiential Education Center, celebrates organizations that consistently support student learning through hands-on experience and service.

For several years, Bayley has welcomed Mount St. Joseph University students through volunteer opportunities, service-learning placements, and clinical experiences. These students play an important role across our community, gaining firsthand exposure to senior care while supporting Bayley’s mission of compassionate, person-centered service.

Students work alongside Bayley team members in a variety of settings, contributing to daily programs and services that support residents and adult day participants. Their involvement brings fresh ideas, energy, and extrasupport that enhances the care and experiences provided throughout Bayley.

The impact of Mount students is especially felt within Bayley’s activities program, where engagement and enrichment are at the heart of daily life. Students frequently assist with group activities, special events, creative programs, and individualized engagement, helping ensure residents and adult day participants feel supported,encouraged, and involved.

Karen Zimmer, Bayley’s Director of Activities, shared her appreciation for the partnership and the difference students make each day.
