True to the spirit of Saint Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton and Margaret Cecilia George, the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati are called to be faith-filled women of the Church. Vowing their lives to God, they walk in humility, simplicity, and charity. Sharing their resources with those in need, the Sisters of Charity build loving relationships and care for all creation.
At Bayley, our pastors oversee and care for residents with great love, living out the teaching of the apostle Paul when he gave his final words to the church leaders from Ephesus, he shared, "Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God..." (Acts 20:28)
Some aspects of pastoral care include hospital visitation, pastoral counseling, prayer with residents, or similar practices.
Residents at Bayley come from varied backgrounds. We encourage practicing faith and spiritual wellness, whether someone has a lifelong belief or is newly exploring religion and spirituality. We host religious services and programming for several denominations on site. Residents who practice the Catholic faith can receive communion within the community during Mass held on site Monday through Saturday.
