Moving to a retirement community allows someone else to take care of the cost and hassle of maintenance and repairs.
Household Chores: Like those home repairs, housekeeping may be taking more time and effort than it once did. Have you found you don’t like to cook as much as you used to, perhaps sacrificing nutrition and taste for convenience? Many communities include weekly housekeeping and a dining plan as part of the monthly fee. In many cases there are bistro or restaurant style dining options available.
Security: Are you worried about being alone should an emergency arise? What would happen if you were to have a fall while home alone or need some other medical attention. Most communities have safeguards in place such as emergency pendants, resident safety checks and other ways to make sure their residents are as safe and secure as they can be. This is in addition to the 24-hour security senior living communities provide to ensure the only people on the property are those that belong there.
