What is an Adult Day Program?
Adult day programs are daily programs that offer members a chance to spend time with others, enjoy planned activities and have their healthcare needs met, all in one place.
Who is Eligible to Attend?
Mature adults who would benefit from socialization, nutritional support and healthcare services all in one convenient location are eligible to attend. Bayley Adult Day services are available Monday through Friday.
Our Nurse administers medication and monitors members’ overall health. Trained Nursing Assistants provide personal care. Daily exercise routines and health talks encourage members to stay active and well. Physicians, including a podiatrist and audiologist, visit on a regular basis and are available for consultation. Additionally, we offer a Styling Salon(CLICK HERE for information), shower service as well as massage, occupational, physical and speech therapy. Blood pressure screenings, weight monitoring, TB testing, flu immunizations and select laboratory services are also available. Members are served a light breakfast, a nutritious hot meal and snacks each day. Our staff monitors members’ nutritional intake and special dietary needs.
After an assessment with our Licensed Social Worker, members are invited to join one of three distinct programs designed to meet their specific abilities and interests. Our team of professional staff works with the member, the family and the doctor to develop individual goals based on a plan of care. We offer caregiver meetings and our social worker is available to assist families with information and referrals.
Daily activities provide an opportunity for members to interact socially with others. We offer a full range of activity choices including spiritual, physical and intellectual activities in both small and large groups. Our full time Activity Coordinator plans a variety of events and field trips that offer opportunities for creative self-expression and intergenerational activities.
One of Anne's favorite things about Bayley's Adult Day Program is connecting with others and building bonds with her community. Check out why Anne and our Outreach Supervisor, Dean Snyder, are thankful to be a part of the Bayley community!
Meet Pauline! She has been attending our Adult Day Program for 2 years as a member of the local community. We're so thankful to have her with us!
